Bio:

Rachel Byczynski, M.S. CCC-SLP completed her undergraduate studies at Western Michigan University and went on to receive her masters degree at West Virginia University. She kick-started her career in West Virginia, primarily providing services to children with high-support needs within the public school setting. She simultaneously worked within the Birth to Three system, working as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Due to the high demand within her area, Rachel began learning and growing within the area of Feeding. Shortly after moving to Wisconsin, Rachel began working at a private practice where she continued to foster skills related to functional needs-based therapy goals within the private sector. Areas of special interest include Childhood Apraxia of Speech, expressive and receptive language disorders, feeding, myofunctional disorders, stuttering and other fluency disorders, and tethered oral tissue (TOT) pre- and post-operative care. Over the past year, she has pursued continuing education related to feeding, oral motor skills, and TOTs in order to best support the growing needs of families in our community.

Treatment Philosophy:

I believe therapy should be an empowering experience for both the child and their family. When children are engaged, having fun, and feel emotionally safe, they are more likely to make meaningful progress. I focus on each child’s strengths while supporting growth in ways that promote lasting and functional outcomes. Every step forward, whether big or seemingly small, is celebrated, as these moments help build the foundation for future development.
