Bio:

Margaret Blaser, M.S., CCC-SLP, completed her undergraduate studies and masters degree at Appalachian State University in North Carolina. She then worked for several years in early intervention, serving the birth to three community in addition to 4k through 5k children in their preschools and homes, in the Greenville, South Carolina area. Upon moving to Milwaukee in 2024, she briefly worked in an elementary school until starting at CFS in May of 2025. Margaret’s time in Greenville, South Carolina laid a strong foundation of understanding the wide variety of challenges that children and their families might navigate on a daily basis, and how to best teach and support them through their communication and feeding needs. Margaret frequently worked alongside occupational therapists and physical therapists to provide comprehensive care to the children and families on her caseload and additionally, grew a specific love and interest for the complex world of pediatric feeding disorders. Other areas of special interest include: early infancy feeding challenges, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, expressive and receptive language delays, and Autism Spectrum Disorders. Over the last couple of years, she has intentionally taken continuing education courses related to feeding and oral motor skills in order to better support and care for families today.

Treatment Philosophy:

When a family walks through the doors of CFS, it is likely because their expectations for their child are not being met in some way, shape, or form. That is a vulnerable space to be in and I consider it an immense privilege to step into that space with every family I see. One of my favorite parts of my job is getting to know each child, and their family, listening to their concerns, and providing care and teaching for them in a way that fits their unique needs. Every child is different, and every child deserves to be seen, heard, and supported in a way that makes them know how valued they are while also progressing toward their goals. That is my hope every therapy session. Additionally, I believe using evidence-based practices, making therapy fun and engaging, and partnering with caregivers is the greatest means to helping a child reach their potential. I always strive to stay current on best practices, and continue the pursuit of beneficial continuing education in order to provide the highest level of care that I can for my patients and their families..
